Suna Dasi

Suna Dasi is an Indian/Dutch artist based in Scotland, who studied and worked in theatre and dance in The Netherlands. Eventually her vocal chords became her main weapon of choice; her profession as a performer and voice actress has taken her all over the world. Together with her wife, she is part of The Lodge Arts Collective: a predominantly female group of very long term friends living communally, committed to the creative process in all its aspects; the production of music, theatre, poetry, fine arts and performance art.

She currently records and performs with Texan progrock artist Erin Bennett and Electro-Metal outfit Krow. Being a woman in the creative industries led her to co-found female-led film and music company Bad Dog Productions/Boudicca Records and PandoraFest, which in 2016 had the honour of being Scotland’s very first woman-focused music festival.
When not in the studio or on the road, she writes SFF and Speculative Fiction. She is currently working on her poetry collection and her first novel. In 2017 she was Nominated for a BSFA Award in the Short Fiction category for one of her short stories: Unmade in Steampunk Writers Around The World – Vol I, (published by Luna Press Publishing).
Suna has contributed fiction to The Clockwork Watch Transmedia Project, The Ministry of Peculiar Occurrence’s spin-off series Tales From the Archives (for which she also did the audio narration), the Steampunk Universe anthology (published by Alliteration Ink), plus non-fiction to Jeff VanderMeer’s Steampunk User’s ManualSci-FI Romance QuarterlyBrown Girl Magazine, the Sci-Fi Fantasy Network, Weirdo Magazine and other publications.
